Aims
Goals
To empower delegates from multidisciplinary backgrounds and first response services to respond in an effective way.
To address and help prevent proffessional
burnout and PTSD.
With this workshop, Victim Support Malta wants to recognize the enormous efforts helpers put
into their work daily.
In a fascinating and very practical way, this workshop aims at teaching proffesionals how to improve multidisciplinary response to crisis in way that respect and improve our health, safety and team spirit.
What is Crisis Intervention
When critical incidents occur they have the potential to overwhelm our coping mechanisms. An incident can cause many kinds of crisis in the people or the communities it affects. During crisis intervention we structure the response and organise a continuum of care for both the civilians and all first responders involved.
